The Master’s program in the Engineering Sciences at Centrale Paris was restructured for the 2010-2015 period around 5 fields and 17 specializations, which reflect its major lines of research, in keeping with the changing needs of its academic and industrial partners. The 5 fields are:

The Master program prepares students either for further study at the doctoral level or for direct placement in high-level positions in leading companies.

In the course of the Master’s program, students are provided with every possible opportunity to prepare for immediate entry into the world of professional research. This support consists in ensuring the acquisition of methods and the ability to apply theoretical knowledge, a 4-month internship, and personalized follow-up to facilitate student entry into the professional world. 70% of internships take place in companies, 30% in laboratories. 50 % of graduates are hired in companies and 50% of graduates complete their School graduation with a Ph.D.

Admission to M1: Bachelor degree, or equivalent, in the field required by each thematic field and selection by admission committee.
Admission to M2: M1 degree, or equivalent, in the field required by each thematic field and selection by admission committee.

The Master in Nuclear Energy:

This comes in the context of major renewed international interest for nuclear energy.
Taught entirely in English, its aim is to allow advanced French and international students to acquire the basic knowledge necessary for the nuclear industry and to prepare them for research work.
It is reinforced by a wide consortium of academic institutions including Centrale Paris, with the support of industrial organizations (EDF, AREVA, GDF-SUEZ).
